We watched ‘Lars and the Real Girl’ tonight, and while doing, I crocheted a necklace for Mel. I used this pattern and it worked up so quickly! I finished the project within two hours.
Mel was kind enough to take a photo with her webcam…
It’s a bit dark, but it’s a photo from the Night Parlour (much like Emily’s Night Kitchen). Her computer’s webcam takes such clear photos (oh how we love Macs)!
Tis all.
Robbie and I left Cork on Monday. We took a train to Dublin, then transferred to another train which brought us to (almost) Lurgan, where we are staying with Mel and Dave for one week. They have a beautiful home and simply ooooooze wonderment. I love it here. And yes, I am happy. No worries about me now, okay? (But keep the comments and emails coming – those are nice!)
Tuesday we left Lurgan to explore the Northern Coast, and that is what I am going to show you now. Many photos ahead – more on Flickr. Enjoy!
We were going to do the Carrick-a-Reed bridge, but being November, it was closed. Boo – I would have liked to do that! Instead, we drove on to the Giant’s Causeway and went explorin’

For anyone who is interested in rock formations and geology, etc, the Giant’s Causeway is a good place to visit. The rocks are so bizarre – they resemble posts at a dock or pier, but they were formed naturally!

Our next stop was Dunluce Castle. It cost 2£ to enter, and having visited Blarney three times already, I decided to explore the outside of the castle ruins, instead.

It was cold, so I moved around (spinning) to keep myself warm.

And then Mel found a wall, and it was cool, so we gracefully perched atop the stones.

And then we jumped off. It was fun.

Our next stop was Whiterocks beach, which had so many fabulous photo opportunities. Here are a few…

Incase you didn’t know, those two people are Mel and Dave, and I made them do things for photos, like hold hands in a heart and climb a cliff and then be a spider on the way down and not smile and smile and take a picture of me please, Dave and Mel. It was fun.
AND for all you people who have told both Robbie and I that we will find love in Ireland… to that we have to say this. Look, we did find love!

And I’m bringing her home, even! A souvenir from Ireland. (Hee hee hee ha ha ha!)
