I <3 VIP boxes at the O2

One of the benefits of working for the Council is that it holds a VIP box at the O2 – one of the biggest performance venues in London. The tickets aren’t free (which would be INCREDIBLE!) but they are available at a rate that is approximately the same as the top priced regular ticket. But we get a host!

Thursday I took my flatmate with me to see Britney Spears. Hold in your laughter, folks, Britney is a guilty pleasure for many of us! I can’t say much for her singing (she only ‘sang’ one song while sitting on a swing) as most of the songs were lipsynched; usually this is excused by her extensive choreography, but Brit seems to have lost her aptitude for dancing. Nevertheless, Britney’s staff know how to put on an entertaining show, and yes she DID perform ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time.’ Poor A – the other housemate – has been subjected to cranking renditions of Britney’s various singles. She is not as much a fan, but we love it!
